How to get rid of dark knees and elbows easily

Many women suffer from dark knuckles, knees, or elbows, which can be embarrassing, especially in societies where even skin tone is considered a standard of beauty. Despite the growing acceptance of different skin tones, the desire to improve the appearance of these areas remains, especially when the problem is caused by manageable factors.

The good news? Lightening these areas doesn't require expensive treatments or complex cosmetic sessions. According to skincare experts, a simple and safe routine can be followed to improve skin tone and texture, especially if the darkening is caused by friction, dryness, or lack of hydration.

Expert Nipun Kapoor Sohal of the Chalhoub Group in Dubai recommends a four-step routine that any woman can apply at home:

Exfoliate with glycolic acid two to three times a week to help remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the skin.

Moisturize daily with a cream containing 5% to 10% urea, which works to soften and gently exfoliate the skin.

Use a 2% acid serum on days when you're not using toner, for a double effect when combined with a urea cream.

Don't neglect sunscreen, as it's a crucial step in maintaining your lightening results, especially during times when your joints are exposed to the sun.

As for results, you may see signs of improvement after four weeks of adhering to the routine, while noticeable lightening may take 8 to 12 weeks.

The real key? Consistency and patience... With simple steps and at a limited cost, you can restore your skin's smoothness and tone with confidence and safety.
